ANCCE is the parent PRE association in the world.

The National Association of Purebred Spanish Horse Breeders of Spain is the international parent association founded for the PRE Horse.

At the beginning of 2007 it took over the administration and mamagement of the PRE Horse worldwide studbook, creating a subsection for this purpose, called LG ANCCE (www.lgancce.com)

As such it is officially recognised by the Spanish Ministry of Agriculture as the entity that represents the breeders and owners from all over the world. Due to this, ANCCE is the official represntative before the Ministry of Agriculture when deciding on the measures affecting the breed, such as breed improvement and selection, requirements for registration, competitions etc.

ANCCE also is the representative of the PRE horse on various national and international equestrian bodies, such as the World Breeders Federation of Sport Horses (WBFSH)

Some of the association's main activities include:

• Administration of the Studbook for PRE horses at international level (via LG ANCCE)
• Organisation of the PRE International Trade Fair (SICAB), held annually in Seville since 1991, during the week leading up to the last Sunday in November.
• Publication of the magazine El Caballo Espanol (Spanish and English edition), that includes news and results relating to the PRE horse within Spain and internationally.
• Attendance at international equestrian trade fairs and editing of promotional material (brochures, booklets, DVDs etc.)
• Principal organizer of the Spanish National Conformation/Morphology Championships.
• Main organizer of the Tribunals for Qualified Breeding Stock (TQC/TRC) and young Horse Dressage Circuits, within the breed selection scheme.
