As of our ACPRE NZ Inc. February Committee meeting we will be introducing a national registry for P.R.E. Geldings and Spanish Purebred Geldings.

This registry will be separate from LGANCCE.

Eligibility:

  • P.R.E. geldings (inscribed and with passport).
  • Purebred geldings conceived from P.R.E. parents (inscribed parents with passports and revised apto for breeding).

Why another registry:

ACPRE has acknowledged the fact that we have too many unregistered purebred geldings in NZ and more recently also P.R.E. geldings whose owners do not wish to go through the costly process of changing ownership with the stud book in Spain. Whilst ACPRE always suggests registration with Spain as our most preferred option, we also realize that in these hard economic times, many people cannot do so. However, we do not want to loose track of our valuable geldings (or their owners) and therefore have introduced this new registry.

Fees will be kept to a minimum for this NZ based registry, so everybody will be able to afford taking part.

Option One: P.R.E. Gelding with passport.

The new owner will receive a “Gelding Ownership Card”, into which the new ownership will be registered. The ownership change will be kept in our association’s database, however, NO change of ownership can be registered with Spain, unless the appropriate LGANCCE fees are paid.

Option Two: Purebred Gelding without passport but from revised parents.

These geldings will receive an “ACPRE NZ Purebred Gelding” registration card in addition to the above “Gelding Ownership Card”. Anyone with such a gelding interested in this option, needs to produce valid proof of parentage and ID for their horse (ie M/chip#).

Soon, we are going to publish the reduced fees for this gelding registry together with the relevant paperwork.

All ACPRE registered geldings will be eligible to participate in any ACPRE event and owners can join us as “Associate” members.

If you like more information on this new registry, please contact Margaret Palmer or Sabina Holle.
